Soft and pretty
That’s the way she knows me
She gives me all her life
All she ever said
Was to live my life in happiness
She hates to see me sad
“Sleep little angel, rest your tired soul”
“Sleep little angel, tommorow your day begin”
You’re my brightest sky
On my last lullaby
The break of dawn
Carried me to the memories
That reminds me the beauty
Of glorious symphony.
And I recall
Wishing I was home
To the place where i’ll finally see
All the things that i missed
To the land of my hopes and my dreams
I’ll be…
Fly away
Drift away
I’m waiting to see
For the dreams
I long to see
Hey, i’ll be home

Photographic Collages Suspended in Plexiglas
Auckland-based artist Peter Madden gleans found images from old encyclopedias, back issues of National Geographic, and nature books to create his dense and nearly psychedelic collages suspended in perspex, also known as ‘safety glass’. Of his work Madden says “I consider myself a ‘Sculptographer’; a ‘post-conceptual photographer’. A mediator between genres and dimensions, between you, the other and I. I suppose I am an altogether different collagist, maybe a collagist of difference.” To see much more of his three dimensional work, check out this gallery.
